2026/2027 Travel Evaluations

Evaluations will take place May 4-May 8.

All players U8-U12 must attend evaluations to be eligible for a 2026/2027 team.

What is Travel Soccer?  Travel soccer is similar to Recreational soccer, with noted differences below:

      • There are gender based teams - Boys teams & Girls teams
        • Teams stay together for the Fall & Spring seasons
    • Teams train two evenings per week during the season (Fall & Spring), usually for 60-75 mins per session
      • Teams are provided a professional trainer for one training session per week
    • Teams play ~10 games per season (Fall & Spring) similar to Recreation, but 5 are held at home (Doc Cramer) and 5 away (another local town)
    • Teams typically participate in one tournament per season, which is held on a weekend.  These are great bonding events for the players & families.

All players interested in participating on a travel team with birth years 2014-2018 must attend at least one day of evaluations even if they are currently rostered to a team.

About Stafford Soccer Club

The first team was coached by Fred Dredge and Fred Wright and consisted of 11 boys and 1 girl. In 1973, Stafford Soccer Club joined with Pine Beach, Lacey, and Berkeley to form the Atlantic Soccer League. The Atlantic Soccer League and the Shore Soccer League eventually combined to become the Jersey Coast Soccer League, which included both Ocean and Monmouth county teams.

Today, Stafford Soccer Club is comprised of approximately 330 travel players and approximately 360 recreational players. The Club consists of 20 travel teams participating in Ocean County Recreation (OCR), Monmouth Ocean Soccer Association (MOSA), and Eastern Development Program (EDP).
