About Us

The Stafford Soccer Club was established in 1972 by Ray Tyson, Sam Hutchinson, Jim MacLaren and Lout Brescia.   The first team was coached by Fred Dredge and Fred Wright and consisted of 11 boys and 1 girl.  In 1973, Stafford Soccer Club joined with Pine Beach, Lacey, and Berkeley to form the Atlantic Soccer League.  The Atlantic Soccer League and the Shore Soccer League eventually combined to become the Jersey Coast Soccer League, which included both Ocean and Monmouth county teams.

Today, Stafford Soccer Club is comprised of approximately 330 travel players and approximately 360 recreational players.  The Club consists of 20 travel teams participating in Monmouth Ocean Soccer Association (MOSA), MAPS, JAGS, and Eastern Development Program (EDP).  Stafford Soccer Club Recreational Program provides developmental training and inter-club competition for players as young as 4 years old through 13 years old.
